தகுதியுள்ள நபர்கள் திறனறித் தேர்வு (Aptitude Test) மூலம் தேர்வுசெய்யப்படுவார்கள் . இதில், பொது அறிவு, கணிதம், ஆங்கிலம், தமிழ் (அனைத்தும் எஸ்.எஸ்.எல்.சி. தரம்) ஆகிய நான்கு பாடங்களிலிருந்து தலா 25 கேள்விகள் வீதம் மொத்தம் 100 கேள்விகள் அப்ஜெக்டிவ் முறையில் கேட்கப்படும். 2 மணி நேரத்தில் விடையளிக்க வேண்டும். ஒவ்வொரு பாடத்திலும் தனித்தனியே குறைந்தபட்ச தேர்ச்சி மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற வேண்டியது மிகவும் முக்கியம்.

எனவே, அனைத்துப் பகுதிகளுக்கும் முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். தவறான பதில்களுக்கு மைனஸ் மார்க் எதுவும் கிடையாது. எனவே, நிச்சயமான, விடை தெரியாத கேள்விக்குக்கூட நன்கு யோசித்து விடையளிக்கலாம்.
