IBPS CWE PO/MT-IV Exam 2014:Syllabus & Notification

IBPS CWE PO/MT Syllabus 2014
Negative Marking: In IBPS PO/MT-IV Exam 2014 there are 1/4 (.25) negative marking.
IBPS Consists of 5 Subjuects:
  • Reasoning Section 
  • Quantitative Aptitude 
  • English Language 
  • General Awareness with special reference to banking Industry 
  • Computer Knowledge 
Reasoning Section: 
  • Verbal Reasoning: Alphabet test, Mathematical Operation test, Classification, Syllogism, Number, ranking and time sequence, Causes and effects, Coding-decoding, Blood relations, Analytic reasoning, Direction sense test, Input output, Statement, Series test, Analogy, Analogy, Odd Man out, Sitting arrangement, Statement and arguments, Statement and action’s courses, Assertion and reasoning, Passage and conclusions, Figure Series, Decision making and conclusions, Statement and assumptions, Word formation 
  • Non-Verbal Reasoning: Figure series test, Analogy, Odd figures & Miscellaneous test. 
Quantitative Aptitude: 
Number system, HCF & LCM, Simplifications. Partnerships, Percentage, Ratio and proportions, Average & Ages Ratio & Proportion, Number series, Problems based on numbers. Approximation Wrong Number, Decimal fractions, Square root and cube root, Profit and loss, Simple interest and compound interest, Data tables, Probability, Time and work, Time and distance, Pie charts, Bar graphs, Line graphs, Average, Mensuration. Permutation and combination, Mixed graphs, Case study.
English language section: 
Spotting the errors, Phrase substitution, Fill in the blanks, Cloze Test, Idioms & Phrases, Choosing the appropriate filler, Double blanks in a sentence, Ordering of sentences or jumbled up sentences, Synonyms & antonyms, Reconstruction of sentence & passage, Commonly misspelled words, One word substitution, Comprehensions.
General awareness: 
Indian Economy, International Economy, Banking Terms, RBI, Fiscal Monetary Policies etc., Books & Their Authors, UNO, Marketing, Social Function of Banks, Awards & Honors Sports, Finance, Agriculture etc.
Computer knowledge section: 
Basic computer terminology, Basic knowledge of Internet use, Computer abbreviation, Microsoft-office, Software & Hardware questions etc.

  • Date of Declaration of Result status of examination (CWE): November, 2014
  • Download of Call letters for Interview: January 2015

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2014): Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years
i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02 July1984 and not later than 01 July 1994 (both dates inclusive) 
Educational Qualifications
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. 
Application Fees: The application fees is Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs. 600 for all other candidates. 
How to Apply
Candidates can apply online only from 22 July 2014 to11 August 2014and no other mode of application will be accepted
Selection Process
The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written examination and interview. The candidate who qualify the written examination will be called for the interview. After clearing second round, the candidates will receive their appointment letters.
