The State Bank of India (SBI) is recruiting 5,092 Assistants in Clerical Cadre. The candidates will be selected for the said post on the basis of their performance in the online test and the interview.
The online examination for the same will held in July or August 2014 but the dates of the same are yet to be declared.
Exam paper pattern:
The question paper is made up of five sections:
Quantitative Aptitude: 40 marks (40 questions)
Logical Reasoning: 40 marks (40 questions)
General Awareness: 40 marks (40 questions)
General English: 40 marks (40 questions)
Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge: 40 marks (40 questions)

The paper will be of 2 hours and 15 minutes and candidates will be awarded negative marking of 0.25(1/4) for each wrong answer.

The section will have questions based on the following topics:
Simplifications, profit and loss, roots and averages, permutations and combinations and heights and distance, partnership, compound interest, simple interest, stocks and shares, clocks and algorithms, volume and surface area, mensuration, ratio and proportion, surds and indices, chain rule, time and work, percentages, allegation and mixtures.
Simplifications will consist of topics such as BODMAS calculations, Square, Cube, Percentages, Square roots, Cube Roots, Averages etc. and is one of the important topics to prepare for.
Logical Reasoning:
The section will have questions based on verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning
English Language:
The section will have questions based on general English, comprehension and spelling.
General Awareness:
This section will consist of current affairs, Indian Constitution, History, Geography, Culture, Sports etc.
Computer Awareness:
This section will have questions based on Computer easy keys, Computer shortcuts, OS related concepts etc.
